Кроме того, насколько специфика нынешнего политического климата предполагает, что все формы исламизма (от воинственных до спокойных) воспринимаются как результат блуждающей иррациональности, настолько я чувствую ответственность за восстановление в правах того, что было изгнано из своих владений. Возможно, более важно, что именно посредством погружения в способы мышления, характерные для традиции, к которой я когда-то относилась предвзято, для меня открылась возможность усомниться в своих проекциях и даже начать понимать, почему исламизм, по крайней мере в одной из своих версий, оказывается такой мощной силой. В нашем мире крепостных стен и бойниц, когда феминистской политике грозит редукция к риторическому представлению ужасов ислама, попытка понимания дает смутную надежду, что анализ как форма общения, а не овладения может приблизить к сосуществованию, не требующему свести на нет жизненные миры других.
